Today, a protest was held by Serbs in the north, opposing the opening of the bridge.
Following this, Agim Bahtiri reacted, calling the protest a typical political move.
Bahtiri stated that the protest was attended only by the Serbian List and its militants, and he thanked the Serbs in the north for not joining the protest.
Bahtiri’s Statement:
“The protest organized today in North Mitrovica is a typical political move, and as such, it does not hold any particular value nor does it reflect the dissatisfaction of the Serbs in the North regarding the bridge issue.
It was clear today that only the Serbian List and its militants (who are forced to participate because they are paid by Serbia) were part of this protest. Therefore, I thank the Serbs in the north who did not join this protest and demonstrated a high level of culture by completely ignoring the calls from the Serbian List to participate.
Kosovo is a multiethnic state where everyone within this country will feel free and equal, and no one outside of it (including Vučić) can be a factor or interfere in our internal affairs.
The Government of Kosovo will have the support of all citizens, regardless of nationality, because the opening of the bridge will serve everyone!”
