As Belgrade braces for mass protests, Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić has sought to project confidence, stating that peace and stability will be preserved despite mounting pressure.

While visiting a construction site for the EXPO project, Vučić took to Instagram to reassure his supporters:

“I am convinced that today we will withstand all pressure and attacks while maintaining peace and stability. And in the future, we will win.”

He also contrasted different visions for Serbia, saying:

“Some dream of destruction, while others dream of building. I believe that most Serbian citizens want to build a better and more successful Serbia.”

Vučić’s remarks come amid growing public unrest, with thousands of protesters, including students, taking to the streets demanding greater democracy and institutional accountability. The protests have drawn international attention, with the EU and UN calling for restraint and respect for democratic rights.
