The Central Election Commission (CEC) has called on Kosovo citizens living abroad to register as soon as possible in order to participate in the early parliamentary elections scheduled for June 7.
According to the CEC, the deadline for diaspora voter registration ends on May 17, while nearly 99,000 citizens have already registered to vote from outside Kosovo.
“Only two days remain for registration. So far, 98,957 diaspora voters have applied,” the CEC announced.
The electoral institution urged members of the diaspora to use the remaining time to complete the registration procedures and secure their participation in the electoral process.
Meanwhile, earlier today, the CEC also conducted the official draw assigning numbers to the political entities that will compete in the June 7 parliamentary elections.
The upcoming elections are considered significant due to the political situation in the country and the strong interest shown by the diaspora in participating in the vote.
