The acting Government of the Republic of Kosovo held its regular meeting today and adopted a series of decisions, according to a statement from the Office of the Prime Minister.
Key decisions:
- Approved the final decision on expropriation for public interest of former socially-owned properties for the needs of the Air Navigation Services Provider of Kosovo (formerly Kosovo Air Navigation Services Agency), across several cadastral zones in Lipjan, Rahovec, Prishtina, and Mitrovica South.
- Approved a request from the Ministry of Finance to amend a previous government decision, increasing funding for the International Development Association (International Development Association) from €370,000 to €373,150.90 due to currency fluctuations.
- Approved amendments to the decision on the establishment of the Ministerial Commission for the European Youth Guarantee Scheme under the Ministry of Finance, Labour and Transfers.
- Established the Ministerial Council for the European Child Guarantee Scheme.
- Established the National Council for Occupational Safety and Health.
- Extended the implementation plan of the Youth Guarantee Scheme 2026.
- Approved amendments to the Government Commission for the Recognition and Verification of the Status of Persons Raped During the Kosovo Liberation War.
- Approved the update of the State Strategic List for Military Goods, aligned with the European Union control list for security, foreign policy, and human rights reasons.
9–11. Approved multiple final expropriation decisions for public projects, including:
- The “Old City Ring Road of Gjilan”
- Rehabilitation and expansion of the R118 national road in Mushtisht (Suharekë)
- Expansion of surface mining for coal extraction for the needs of the Kosovo Energy Corporation in Obiliq
12–14. Reviewed additional expropriation requests for public projects in Podujeva, including:
- Construction of a livestock market
- Green market
- Affordable housing units
- Early childhood education facilities (kindergartens)
- Approved €50,000 for emergency preventive interventions in various municipalities under the Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
- Approved a €1 million budget reallocation request from the Ministry of Local Government Administration for capital investments.
- Approved amendments to a previous government decision (No. 05/220).
- Reviewed the report on the legality assessment of municipal assembly acts for 2025.
- Appointed members to the Board of the Public Enterprise “Energy Storage Corporation (ESC)”:
- Bujar Haxha (Chair)
- Fisnik Musai
- Violeta Arifi-Krasniqi
- Mimoza Byqmeti
- Approved expropriation for the establishment of an industrial defense zone on former KBI Ereniku land in Gjakova.
- Allocated €1 million for employment support for non-majority communities under the Economic Revival Package.
- Allocated €90,599.56 to the Municipality of Podujeva for the completion of the wastewater treatment plant project.
- Approved an increase of €15 million in expenditure limits for the rehabilitation of Railway Line X (Fushë Kosovë – Hani i Elezit) under the Investment Clause.
