Gresa Bakraçi Delivers Outstanding Performance in Skopje: New National Record and First Place in 10 km Race

Kosovan athlete Gresa Bakraçi broke the national record in the 10-kilometer race held in Skopje, where 428 athletes from various countries around the world participated.

Bakraçi improved the previous national record of 35:32 by finishing the race 14 seconds faster, securing first place overall. During the competition, she also finished ahead of the Balkan champion from Serbia, who placed second.

Blerim Gashani praised the achievement, emphasizing its importance for Kosovan sports.

“This success is proof of the talent, discipline, and tireless work that our athletes continue to demonstrate every day on the international stage,” Minister Gashani stated.

He added: “On behalf of the Ministry of Sports and Youth, we congratulate Gresa on this major achievement and for the dignified way she continues to represent Kosovo.”

The result is being considered another proud moment for Kosovo sports and an inspiration for younger generations.
