The Deputy Leader of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), Lutfi Haziri, has declared that he is ready to give his vote for the Speaker of the Assembly, but only if he considers it necessary and without any political conditions.
He emphasized that he would also vote for Albulena Haxhiu if he is convinced it is necessary and there are no other political agreements involved.
“If the 61st vote is needed, I will give it tomorrow for the Speaker of the Assembly, whoever is proposed,” he stated.
“It is not conditional on other relations. I have the political courage to go out and vote if I believe this vote should be cast,” he added.
He further stressed that if a deputy cannot gain the trust of his colleagues, it is a sign that no one believes in the capacity of the leader of the Vetëvendosje Movement (LVV) to lead.
“The very fact that out of 120 deputies, someone cannot be found with the trust to give the vote of ‘I believe in you,’ clearly shows that no one believes in the capacity you represent today. First of all, it doesn’t matter the name of the person who was proposed, because she was elected. You have to trust the proposer. I don’t trust her, and neither does anyone else,” Haziri stated on RTVDukagjini.
