The Deputy Leader of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), Lutfi Haziri, has stated that the lack of political will and the failure to reach an agreement on the formation of the government are the reasons holding back the election of the Speaker of the Assembly.
Speaking on “Debat Plus,” Haziri emphasized that it was clear from the first session that Kosovo was in a political deadlock.
“There is a lack of political will. The lack of an agreement on the government is holding back the election of the Speaker of the Assembly. There is no other reason here,” said Haziri.
He added that the absence of an agreement on the government is creating a situation where the Assembly process is being seen as a way to buy time, rather than moving forward with other procedures.
“The political interest is much greater in the government. The lack of an agreement on the government allows someone to manage the Assembly process as a way of buying time,” he emphasized.
