The United States has strongly condemned the attack that occurred tonight in the village of Varagë, Zubin Potok, which damaged the Ibër-Lepenc water channel.
U.S. Ambassador Jeff Hovenier, in a statement on X, affirmed that the U.S. is closely monitoring the situation and has offered its support to ensure that those responsible for this criminal attack are identified and held accountable.
The U.S. has also condemned recent grenade attacks on the Zveçan police station on November 26 and the municipal building in Zveçan on November 28.
“These violent actions have no place in a democratic society, and those responsible for these criminal attacks against the legitimate authorities of the Republic of Kosovo must be held accountable.
The United States will continue to stand in solidarity with the people and Government of Kosovo in the face of these criminal attacks,” Hovenier stated.
