The chairman of the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK), Memli Krasniqi, has commented on Ramiz Lladrovci’s victory in Drenas, where the party’s official candidate failed to win.
Krasniqi said the contest was not easy but confirmed that he congratulated Lladrovci after the results were announced.
“It wasn’t an easy race for us, because it involved a municipality that has honored the PDK with unconditional support for years. The internal challenge within the branch wasn’t something I welcomed. I didn’t want to act as an arbiter to block competition within the party. The result is clear — Ramiz Lladrovci won. I have officially congratulated him from the PDK headquarters and I hope he continues to work for the good of the citizens of Drenas,” Krasniqi said in an interview on Rubikon at Klan Kosova.
But when asked whether there is still room for Ramiz Lladrovci in the PDK, Krasniqi gave a short and direct answer:
“Lladrovci was not expelled — he left on his own.”
