President Vjosa Osmani is expected to invite political parties for consultations following Sunday’s failed attempt to form a new government.
Deputy of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), Krenar Xhaferi, confirmed on Klan Kosova’s “Edicioni Special” that LDK will respond positively to the President’s invitation.
“Yes, I believe we should attend. The idea is that institutions must absolutely be respected,” Xhaferi stated.
However, he also noted that the country is heading toward new elections, and forming a new political bloc “makes no logical sense” at this stage.
“Taking responsibility to form a new government would be logical for LDK, as it would solve the deadlock and avoid new elections,” he added.
