A senior leader of the Islamic State (ISIS) in Iraq and Syria has been killed in an operation carried out by members of the Iraqi National Intelligence Service, along with forces from the U.S.-led coalition, according to Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani.

Abdallah Makki Muslih al-Rifa, also known as Abu Khadija, was considered one of the most dangerous terrorists in Iraq and the world.

U.S. President Donald Trump stated that “he was relentlessly pursued by our brave fighters,” as reported by BBC.

U.S. Central Command (Centcom) posted what appeared to be a video of the attack on X, stating that it occurred in the western Anbar province of Iraq on Thursday.

On his platform, Truth Social, President Trump added: “His miserable life was ended, along with another ISIS member, in coordination with the Iraqi Government and the Kurdish Regional Government. Peace through strength!”
