Israel has announced an indefinite delay in the release of over 600 Palestinian prisoners, marking another potential obstacle in the ceasefire process, according to Reporteri.net.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that the release would be postponed until further hostages are handed over by Hamas. Netanyahu also condemned what he described as the “degrading ceremonies” that Hamas had conducted every week, which he cited as a reason for the delay.
His remarks came after the release of six Israeli hostages, including four abducted during the deadly Hamas attack on Israel on October 7, 2023.
