Deputy in the Serbian Parliament, Shaip Kamberi, has welcomed the unanimous adoption of a resolution by the Assembly of Kosovo aimed at advancing institutional care for the Albanian community in the Preševo Valley.

Kamberi described the resolution as an important step toward sustainable support aligned with European standards, emphasizing that it goes beyond a formal act and represents a concrete commitment to more structured policies, stronger representation, socio-economic development, and full respect for minority rights.

In a statement published after the vote, he expressed gratitude to Kosovo’s political leadership, including the Speaker of the Assembly, the Prime Minister, and all parliamentary groups — LVV, PDK, LDK, and AAK — for their unified support.

He highlighted the broad political consensus as a strong message regarding the importance of the issue and the shared commitment to equality, rights, and dignity for Albanians in the Preševo Valley.

Kamberi also stressed that the resolution confirms institutional care for Albanians in the region as a continuous state policy rather than a sporadic initiative. He further underlined the principle of reciprocity, stating that rights demanded for one community must apply equally to others, describing it as essential for long-term peace and regional stability.
