The Kosovo Energy Corporation (KEK) has awarded a contract for the supply of fuel oil, or mazut, worth €383,404.63, IndeksOnline reports.
The fuel will be supplied for the storage tank at the “Kosova B” Thermal Power Plant, while the selected economic operator is LAB-OIL LLC, based in Pristina.
The document states that the mazut is required to start the units at TPP-B and to keep them operational in the event of problems with various pieces of equipment, including mills, fans, grates and crushers.
According to KEK, its use is intended to help maintain the stability of the combustion process and the boiler furnace.
The procurement procedure used was a negotiated procedure without publication of a contract notice, while the award criterion was the lowest price.
