Iranian state media have released, for the first time, footage from inside the compound of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, revealing the extensive damage caused by the U.S.-Israeli airstrike carried out in March.

The approximately 50-second video shows piles of rubble, collapsed ceilings, twisted support beams, and doors blown apart by the force of the explosion.

The heaviest damage was reported at the Imam Khomeini Husseiniya, the hall within the compound where the Supreme Leader held official meetings, religious ceremonies, and public speeches.

The footage shows interiors covered in dust and debris, with significant portions of the building appearing to have suffered severe structural damage.

Until now, the destruction at the compound had only been documented through satellite imagery, with no interior footage made public.

The release of the video coincides with the ongoing days of national mourning in Iran for Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Memorial gatherings and processions have been held in several Iranian cities, while thousands of worshippers also participated in commemorative ceremonies in the Shiite holy cities of Najaf and Karbala in Iraq ahead of the funeral ceremonies in Iran.

Moments of tension were reportedly observed during some of the ceremonies, as mourners attempted to approach the coffin, prompting organizers to intervene to prevent further incidents.
