Kosovo Leaders to Honor the Missing on National Remembrance Day

In observance of the National Day of Missing Persons, Kosovo’s top leadership will pay tribute today to those forcibly disappeared during the war.

Acting President Albulena Haxhiu and Prime Minister Albin Kurti are scheduled to conduct a joint wreath-laying ceremony at the Monument Dedicated to Persons Enforcedly Disappeared during the War.

The ceremony is set to take place at 11:30 AM in front of the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo building in Pristina.

This day serves as a somber reminder of the thousands who remain unaccounted for since the conflict of 1998–1999. The issue of missing persons remains a deeply sensitive humanitarian and political topic in the region, continuing to impact thousands of families seeking closure and justice.
