The Kosovo Police announced that at approximately 7:48 a.m. today, the Operations Center of the General Directorate of the Kosovo Police received a phone call on its official emergency line from an individual speaking Serbian, who falsely claimed that an explosive device (bomb) had been planted at the Prishtina Bus Station.

“Patrol units from the South Police Station immediately responded to the scene, evacuated civilians, secured the perimeter, and implemented all necessary measures to ensure public safety.”

Following a thorough search of the facility and the surrounding area by specialized police units, no suspicious object or explosive device was found.

The competent prosecutor was notified of the incident and authorized the initiation of criminal proceedings for the offense of ‘False Reporting or False Alarm.’ The investigation remains ongoing.

The Kosovo Police stated that this case has been directly linked to a previous false bomb threat made on June 22, 2026, which also targeted the Prishtina Bus Station.

“An intensive investigation conducted by the Kosovo Police, specifically the Directorate for the Investigation of Cyber Crimes, established that both calls originated from the same telephone number in Serbia. In addition, technical and forensic analyses have uncovered further electronic evidence linking the two incidents, which has now been incorporated into the ongoing criminal investigation,” the police said.
