The Chairman of the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK), Memli Krasniqi, criticized the Movement for Self-Determination (VV) for the institutional blockage, emphasizing that the way out of the crisis is to change the candidate for the Speaker of the Assembly.
“Today marks almost three months since the elections, and the citizens still do not have functional institutions. Their verdict is being violated by Self-Determination,” declared Krasniqi, accusing the winning party of preventing the establishment of the institutions.
He described the situation as “tragicomic” and added that the solution is simple.
“A candidate must be proposed who has the majority of votes in the Assembly. It is known that Albulena Haxhiu does not have and will not have those votes. Self-Determination must change the candidate,” said Krasniqi.
Krasniqi emphasized that the citizens sent a clear message in the elections – governance should be based on cooperation, not on the domination of a single party.
