Kosovo striker Vedat Muriqi is reportedly very close to returning to Fenerbahçe, with sports media reporting that an agreement between the parties is expected to be finalized soon.
The development comes after club elections in Turkey, where Aziz Yıldırım secured victory, opening the way for the first moves in the transfer market. One of the new leadership’s priorities appears to be bringing back Muriqi, who left a strong impression during his previous spell with the yellow-and-navy side.
The “Dardanian striker” remains one of the most appreciated names among Fenerbahçe fans due to his performances and goals before moving to other European leagues.
Meanwhile, the changes in club leadership have also led to a revision of transfer plans. Several high-profile names that were mentioned during the election campaign are no longer expected to join, while the focus has shifted toward more realistic targets, with Muriqi considered one of the most likely signings of the summer.
The official confirmation of the agreement between Fenerbahçe and Muriqi is expected in the coming days, once the final contract details are settled.
