PDK MP Enver Hoxhaj, a close friend and political associate of former President Hashim Thaçi and former Assembly Speaker Kadri Veseli, has shared emotional footage from a KLA march held in Prishtina in September 1999.
Hoxhaj recalled that tens of thousands of citizens took part in the march at the time to honor the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA), which he described as the force that brought freedom to Kosovo, shortly before its transformation.
According to Hoxhaj, 27 years later, Kosovo will once again take to the streets, this time to demand justice for former KLA leaders.

In September 1999, in Prishtina, tens of thousands of citizens marched to honor the KLA, the army that brought freedom to Kosovo, on the eve of its transformation. Back then, we marched proudly to say thank you. Tomorrow, we march united to demand justice. History calls us to the square once again—for the KLA, for the truth and for freedom!
At 2:00 p.m., at Skënderbeu Square in Prishtina, together at the March for Freedom,” Hoxhaj wrote on Facebook alongside the footage from the 1999 march.
