Prime Minister Albin Kurti said Kosovo has a great deal of work ahead and that the country’s institutions must cooperate to address its state-level challenges. He made the remarks following his first meeting with Kosovo’s newly elected President, Justina Shiroka-Pula.

Kurti said the meeting focused on institutional cooperation and the challenges facing the country.

“The first meeting with the president was about welcoming her and committing to major and daily work in the interest of all citizens, without distinction. I thanked her greatly for honoring us by accepting her candidacy,” Kurti said.

He stressed that Kosovo now has functioning institutions after a period of more than a year and that the focus must now be on the work ahead.

“We have a lot of work ahead of us. Kosovo, finally, after more than a year, has functioning institutions, and now we have no time to lose. We must come together to face many state-level challenges,” Kurti said.
