Another disturbing testimony was heard today at the Basic Court in Prishtina, Special Department, during the trial of Nadica Çepkenović, who is accused of war crimes.

Gazeta Sinjali followed the hearing, where another injured party, appearing as a witness, described the severe experiences she allegedly endured while being held at the Prishtina Prison facility in Lipjan.

The witness testified that she was beaten and mistreated by female prison guards during her detention, claiming that the accused, Nadica Çepkenović, also participated in the abuse.

According to her testimony, she had been imprisoned because she washed clothes for members of the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) and prepared food for them, including cakes.

While recounting her experiences, the witness became unwell and asked for several breaks, finding it difficult to continue her testimony before the trial panel.

Her testimony focused on the physical and psychological violence she claims to have experienced during her detention.

The hearing was held before the Special Department of the Basic Court in Prishtina, with the panel chaired by Judge Leon Perlaska and judges Lutfi Shala and Rrahman Beqiri as members.

The trial of Nadica Çepkenović is continuing with the testimony of witnesses and injured parties, who are describing their experiences during the war in Kosovo.
