Acting Prime Minister Albin Kurti, accompanied by acting Minister of Finance Hekuran Murati, arrived at the Kosovo Assembly building for a meeting with the leader of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), Lumir Abdixhiku, who was accompanied by former President Vjosa Osmani.
Asked whether he was optimistic about reaching an agreement with the LDK, Kurti said he believes a solution can be found, emphasizing his willingness to prioritize institutional stability.
“I am optimistic because I have the goodwill and the public interest in mind, which means constituting the institutions, avoiding new elections, and in this way starting to govern again as soon as possible, because we have many ongoing projects as well as new ones that are coming,” Kurti said.
The meeting is part of consultations between Kosovo’s political leaders aimed at finding a solution for the formation of institutions and addressing the issue of the country’s presidency.
