Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti met with British Ambassador to Kosovo Jonathan Hargreaves on Monday, one day after the formation of Kosovo’s new government.
According to the Office of the Prime Minister, Hargreaves congratulated Kurti on the progress made so far toward establishing the country’s institutions.
Kurti thanked the British ambassador for the United Kingdom’s continued support for Kosovo and its citizens.
The meeting focused on the importance of institutional stability, current developments and bilateral relations between Kosovo and the United Kingdom.
Particular attention was given to strengthening cooperation in the areas of the economy, digitalization and information technology, defense, energy, and the fight against disinformation.
The meeting comes as Kosovo’s newly formed institutions begin their work following a prolonged period of political uncertainty and efforts to establish the country’s governing structures.
