The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, has apparently decided to reduce tensions with the opposition, inviting the leaders of the three opposition parliamentary parties to a working dinner on Monday. In the letter sent by Memli Krasniqi, Lumir Abdixik and Ramush Haradinaj, there is no mention of setting the date of the elections, nor of the dissolution of the Assembly.
There it is indicated that the steps to fulfill the remaining legislative agenda for the spring session of the Assembly will be discussed.
The purpose of this dinner, which is expected to be held on May 13 at 18:30 in one of the capital’s hotels, is indicated in the letter addressed to the chairman of the LDK, Lumir Abdixhiku.
I am aware that your opposition entity has its own reservations about participating in the voting process in the Assembly of the Republic, but I positively believe that this does not prevent your participation and our joint discussion to examine new possibilities regarding the fulfillment of the remaining agenda legislation for the spring session”, says Kurti’s letter sent to the head of the LDK.
The same letter was sent to the chairman of the PDK, Memli Krasniqi, and to the chairman of the AAK, Ramush Haradinaj.
So far, none of the leaders in question has confirmed or denied participation in this dinner.
During this year, the opposition leaders have repeatedly said that they meet with Prime Minister Kurti only to set the date of the elections and the dissolution of the Assembly.
