Manojlović: The Regime Fears Elections Because They Lack a Majority, Even With Voting Fraud

Savo Manojlović, the leader of the prominent opposition movement Kreni-Promeni (Go-Change), leveled severe criticism against Serbia’s ruling regime today. He asserted that President Aleksandar Vučić has avoided calling new elections for over a year out of fear, knowing that the ruling coalition no longer commands a genuine majority among voters—even when factoring in potential systemic voting fraud and political double agents.

Manojlović argued that instead of admitting to total political bankruptcy, the state leadership continues to stall and manipulate public perception to buy more time.

Political Bankruptcy and Tactical Stalling

Drawing a direct comparison between state authorities and irresponsible debtors, Manojlović emphasized that the administration’s trajectory points toward an inevitable political conclusion.

“Instead of admitting to political bankruptcy, Vučić constantly repeats the same script to our citizens: ‘just two more months, just a few more months, it’s just around the corner.’ You know, it’s exactly like those people who owe money and constantly promise, ‘Next month,’ and then when that month passes, they say, ‘Just one more month.’ Whatever scenario this regime chooses today, it will lead to only one outcome—their exit into political history.”

The “Sonic Cannon” Case: Insulting Public Intelligence

A major point of contention in Manojlović’s statement focused on recent media spins and government attempts to suppress details regarding repressed student and opposition activities.

Manojlović declared that pro-regime media outlets are aggressively insulting the intelligence of citizens by trying to convince the public that “thousands of people simultaneously fabricated the exact same experience, at the exact same time, and in the exact same place.”

By shifting the narrative, the opposition argues that state authorities are desperately trying to cover up the documented use of a sonic cannon (acoustic weapon) against demonstrators on March 15 last year. Manojlović warned that this propaganda push is being used to build a dangerous legal alibi aimed at potentially banning opposition parties and active student organizations throughout Serbia.
