Kosovo and the United States are continuing to deepen their strategic partnership in the fields of defense and security through expanded cooperation between their respective institutions, reports Gazeta Sinjali.
This was confirmed by Kosovo’s Minister of Defense, Ejup Maqedonci, following his meeting with the Adjutant General of the Iowa National Guard, Major General Stephen Osborn.
According to Maqedonci, discussions focused on further advancing cooperation between Kosovo and the United States within the framework of the State Partnership Program.
He emphasized the importance of the partnership to date and noted that both sides agreed to expand cooperation across several areas, including training, joint exercises, and the professional development of members of the Kosovo Security Force.
“Cooperation between the FSK and the Iowa National Guard remains one of the key pillars in strengthening our operational capacities and interoperability with strategic partners,” Maqedonci stated.
He also expressed gratitude to General Osborn and, through him, to the United States for its continued support to Kosovo and the strengthening of its armed forces.
