Measles Outbreak in Texas, Two Children Dead – Over 600 Confirmed Cases in the U.S.

Another child has died from measles as the outbreak continues to spread in West Texas.

“The child was unvaccinated, had no underlying medical conditions, and was hospitalized for complications related to measles,” said Aaron Davis, Vice President of the UMC Health System, a network of public hospitals and clinics.

It has been reported that Texas had recorded over 480 cases of measles since Friday.

Furthermore, the U.S. has seen over 600 cases of measles this year, most of them linked to an outbreak that started in West Texas.
