Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni has reacted to the tariffs imposed by the United States on many countries worldwide, calling the decision signed by former U.S. President Donald Trump as incorrect.

However, Meloni emphasized that it is essential to be cautious in how other countries respond.

She added that “it is not a catastrophe,” expressing that there should be no overreaction or unnecessary alarm.

Regarding the response to these tariffs, Meloni stated that she is not convinced that the best way to react is by imposing additional tariffs, noting that some countries might impose similar measures as a counter-response to the U.S. tariffs.

Kosovo is also affected by the U.S. tariffs, with a 10% tariff imposed.
