Military Gifts for Guests at the Moscow Parade

Guests who attended the May 9 military parade in Red Square, Moscow, were greeted with special gifts, according to a report by RIA Novosti’s correspondent, as cited by Rks News.

According to the report, each guest in the honorary stands received a camouflage-colored backpack containing a blanket, water, and chocolate. The gift set also included a military cap, binoculars, a rain poncho, a commemorative badge, and a copy of the Večernjaja Moskva newspaper from May 9, 1945, which announced Germany’s capitulation.

Additionally, attendees were given a copy of Alexander Tvardovsky’s book Vasily Terkin, as well as a war-themed board game titled Assault on Berlin, according to Index.

Russian President Vladimir Putin, alongside war veterans, international guests, and foreign leaders, observed the parade from the central tribune. This celebration of Victory Day in Moscow was attended by representatives from 27 foreign states.

Among them were Chinese President Xi Jinping, Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić, Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico, Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel, General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam To Lam, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro, Ethiopian President Taye Atske Selassie, and Guinea-Bissau President Umaro Sissoco Embaló.
