Within the framework of the 33rd annual meetings of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) that are taking place in Yerevan, Armenia, the Plenary Session of the Board of Governors of the EBRD was held today.
The Minister of Finance, Labor and Transfers, Hekuran Murati, is participating in this session along with other representatives of the member states of this institution.
During the discussion, the minister pointed out the good performance of the Kosovo economy, underlining the ongoing efforts of the Government to be attentive to global developments and to actively support citizens and businesses in overcoming the challenges they faced.
However, taking into account the over-proportional impact that the increase in interest rates has on developing economies, Minister Murati emphasized the importance of the need for increased support for the private sector by the EBRD so that there is no lack of liquidity in the market .
Minister Murati underlined the importance of cooperation with institutions such as the EBRD, which play a key role in promoting economic development and sustainability in the region.
He reiterated Kosovo’s commitment to work closely with the EBRD and deepen cooperation in projects that will contribute to the development and economic stability of the country.
