During the Eid al-Adha prayer ceremony at the Grand Mosque of Pristina, Grand Mufti Naim Tërnava called on Muslim believers for greater unity, solidarity, and the rejection of hatred and division, reports Ekonomia Online.
During his Eid sermon, Tërnava also spoke about the importance of preserving the Albanian language, as well as the political situation in the country.
“Today, on this beautiful morning of this magnificent day, millions of believers from all around the world have gathered in the blessed land of Mecca, responding to the eternal call of Abraham, to demonstrate the unity, equality, and devotion of the Islamic faith. Among them are also pilgrims from Kosovo,” Tërnava said.
He also emphasized the need for social harmony and understanding, while noting that ongoing political instability has exhausted many citizens.
