Security developments in Kosovo were at the center of a high-level meeting between the leadership of NATO’s Kosovo Force (KFOR) and the Alliance’s Joint Force Command Naples (JFC Naples).
KFOR Commander Major General Özkan Ulutaş welcomed Admiral George M. Wikoff, Commander of NATO Allied Joint Force Command Naples, to Camp Novo Selo on Monday for discussions on the security situation in Kosovo and the mission’s ongoing activities.
During the visit, Admiral Wikoff received an operational briefing on the current security environment and KFOR’s daily efforts to ensure a safe and secure environment for all communities across Kosovo.
The NATO commander also met with KFOR personnel serving in the mission, gaining firsthand insight into their operational responsibilities and ongoing activities.
As part of the visit, Major General Ulutaş accompanied Admiral Wikoff on a helicopter reconnaissance flight along the Administrative Boundary Line (ABL), where he presented KFOR’s patrol operations and troop deployment aimed at maintaining stability and monitoring the area.
The visit underscores NATO’s continued commitment to peace, security, and stability in Kosovo through the KFOR mission.
