A new protest organized by the “Not a Cent More” initiative has begun in Prishtina’s “Skënderbeu” square, in opposition to the decision by the Energy Regulatory Office (ZRRE) to increase electricity tariffs.
This public response follows the recent decision by ZRRE to raise electricity prices by 16.1%, a move that has been met with significant dissatisfaction among citizens.
A considerable number of citizens are participating in the protest, demanding that the decision be reversed and that the financial burden on them not be further increased.
The organizers have warned that if their demands are not taken into account, the protests will escalate in the coming days.
“Electricity is not a luxury – it’s a fundamental right,” reads some of the slogans on the protesters’ banners.
