The Chairman of the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK), Memli Krasniqi, during a press statement on the occasion of registering PDK’s parliamentary group in the new legislature of the Assembly of Kosovo, emphasized the need to establish new, functional, and democratic institutions in the country.

“PDK will act in full accordance with the Constitution and democratic principles,” stated Krasniqi, adding that Kosovo needs a government that serves its citizens and addresses challenges such as the high cost of living, economic development, and Euro-Atlantic integration.

The PDK leader revealed that they have communicated with all parliamentary parties, except for the coalition parties that won the February 9 elections – Vetëvendosje (VV), Guxo, and Alternativa.

“If the party that came first in the elections fails to form the required majority, PDK is ready to take its responsibility in forming the new government, with Bedri Hamza at the helm of the executive,” he said.

Krasniqi emphasized that PDK has clear objectives for economic development, recovery, and strengthening relationships with strategic partners, as well as advancing Kosovo’s Euro-Atlantic integration.
