🇽🇰 Kosovo authorities have denied entry to Marko Kovačević, the pro-Russian mayor of Nikšić, Montenegro.
According to sources, the decision was made due to his repeated statements against Kosovo’s independence and concerns that his presence could be used to spread political and propaganda messages during the Vidovdan commemorations at Gazimestan.
The decision was also based on security assessments aimed at preventing activities that could incite tensions or undermine public order during the planned events.
According to the official refusal document, which Kovačević himself shared on social media, he is considered “a threat to public order, internal security, public health, or international relations.”
Meanwhile, his political party, the New Serb Democracy (NSD), claimed that the entry ban was evidence of an “anti-Serb policy” by Kosovo’s institutions.
