Rama in Tallinn: Albania to Move Toward Innovation Using Estonian Model and Artificial Intelligence

Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama is in Tallinn, Estonia, where he is participating in the Lennart Meri Conference 2026, one of the most important international forums on foreign policy, security, and global challenges.

During the visit, Rama made a joint statement with Estonian Prime Minister Kristen Michal, focusing on cooperation between the two countries, particularly in the fields of digitalization and innovation.

The Estonian Prime Minister expressed support for Albania’s path toward European Union integration and highlighted cooperation in technological projects, stressing the importance of shared security in the context of global challenges.

Rama stated that Albania aims to follow Estonia’s model of digital transformation, describing it as a successful example of state modernization.

“We aim to move forward with innovation and artificial intelligence, using the Estonian experience as our guide,” Rama said.

He added that Albania and Estonia share a common vision for the future, emphasizing the role of technology, education, and international cooperation in national development.
