Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama has strongly condemned the Kosovo Specialist Chambers for denying former Kosovo President Hashim Thaçi permission to attend his father’s funeral.
In a post on social media platform X, Rama called the court’s decision a “new humiliation” and harshly criticized the tribunal, accusing it of turning international justice into a farce.
“A new humiliation by a shameful and shameless tribunal, which has turned international justice into a farce, democratic rights into empty words, and the goodwill of Kosovo’s Parliament into the most brutal boomerang!” Rama wrote.
The decision by the Hague-based court has sparked outrage among Thaçi’s supporters, who see it as yet another politically motivated move against Kosovo’s former leaders.
