Drones launched by Russia have attacked three commercial vessels sailing in Ukraine’s export corridor in the Black Sea late Thursday evening and overnight, Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister Oleksiy Kuleba said.
According to him, the attacks caused fires on board the ships, which were later extinguished by the crews before the situation was brought under control. Ukraine’s port authority stated that the targeted vessels were sailing under the flags of Vanuatu, Comoros, and Panama.
Meanwhile, the Ukrainian Navy previously reported that one of the targets was the vessel “Ant,” a Turkish-owned cargo ship sailing under the Vanuatu flag, which was traveling toward Turkey from a port in the Odessa region.
Reports say the strike caused a fire on board and led to the evacuation of two crew members who were injured. The Navy added that the ship was carrying cargo at the time of the attack.
