Members of the Serb List arrived at the Kosovo Parliament today to complete their official registration as MPs, Ekonomia Online reports. However, it remains unclear whether they will participate in tomorrow’s constitutive session and vote for the new Speaker of Parliament, who will be nominated by the ruling Vetëvendosje (VV) Movement.
The Serb List has a history of selectively engaging with Kosovo’s institutions, often participating minimally to maintain their mandates without fully endorsing parliamentary decisions. Their stance on the crucial vote for the Speaker could significantly impact the formation of the new legislature.
Meanwhile, new MPs from the AAK-Nisma coalition are also expected to complete their registration by 4:00 PM today. Based on the February 9, 2025 election results, the coalition secured eight seats—five from the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK) and three from the Social Democratic Initiative (Nisma).
Last week, MPs from Vetëvendosje, PDK, and LDK successfully completed their registration process. The constitutive session of the Kosovo Parliament is scheduled for tomorrow.
