Serious Train Collision in England – Multiple Injuries Reported

Two high-speed passenger trains collided on Friday afternoon near the town of Bedford in central England, according to reports.

Initial reports indicate that several passengers sustained serious injuries. Images circulating from the scene appear to show injured passengers inside the train carriages, with emergency services responding rapidly to the incident.

The collision reportedly occurred at approximately 5:15 p.m. local time.

According to the report, a train traveling from Nottingham to St Pancras International in London was struck from behind by another train traveling from Corby to the same destination.

The impact occurred around 2.5 miles (4 kilometers) from Bedford station when the Corby-bound service reportedly crashed into the rear of the Nottingham–London train.

Emergency crews, including paramedics, firefighters, and railway response teams, were dispatched to the scene. Authorities have not yet confirmed the exact number of casualties or the cause of the collision.

An investigation is expected to be launched to determine the circumstances that led to the crash.
