UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer has commented on the recent ceasefire between India and Pakistan, expressing support and urging that it be maintained.
“I’m pleased to see there is a ceasefire today, and I believe the focus now must be on achieving a lasting and stable ceasefire,” Starmer said, according to Sky News.
He also confirmed that the United Kingdom has been in talks with both countries over the past several days, working to ease tensions and promote dialogue.
Starmer’s remarks come at a sensitive time in the region, where longstanding tensions—particularly over Kashmir—continue to threaten South Asian stability.
