Professor Ivana Stradner, an American scholar of Russian hybrid warfare and a consultant at the Washington-based Foundation for Defense of Democracies, commented on the imminent departure of the president of Bosnia and Herzegovina from the Republika Srpska entity in Russia.
“Yuri Ushakov, Putin’s foreign policy adviser, announced that Milorad Dodik and Putin will meet on June 6 and discuss the resolution on Srebrenica. Let’s see if Dodik will also receive instructions on how to proceed with the secession,” warned professor Ivana Stradner.
Contacts between Russian President Vladimir Putin and RS President Milorad Dodik are becoming a tradition, Kremlin aide Yuri Ushakov said.
“Another contact of President Vladimir Putin is becoming traditional. It is the president of RS Milorad Dodik. Putin met with him relatively recently, it was in February of this year, within the framework of the international sports games “Future Games in Kazan”, Ushakov said on the eve of the International Economic Forum in St. Petersburg.
Putin and Dodik will discuss the situation in BiH and the UN General Assembly resolution on Srebrenica, Ushakov said.
“Of course we will discuss the current political situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the situation in the Balkans as a whole, issues related to bilateral relations and of course we will also touch on the resolution of the UN General Assembly on Srebrenica from May 23”, said Ushakov
