The Assembly of Kosovo held a solemn session dedicated to survivors of wartime sexual violence, in a symbolic commemoration aimed at honoring victims and raising awareness about the consequences of war-related crimes.

At the beginning of the session, members of parliament lit candles in tribute to survivors, in a gesture of solidarity and remembrance.

The session forms part of the annual observance of the day dedicated to survivors of sexual violence during the war, held under the motto “Ma kthe dritën” (“Give me back the light”).

The commemoration underscores ongoing institutional efforts in Kosovo to recognize survivors, promote dignity, and support justice initiatives related to crimes committed during the conflict.
