Kosovo’s Minister of Internal Affairs, Xhelal Sveçla, has condemned the grenade attack on the municipality of Zveçan, stating that recent attacks on institutions in the north are a desperate expression of criminal gangs orchestrated by Belgrade.

“The attacks are an attempt to show strength, but they are merely signs of desperation from these criminal groups,” Sveçla said, emphasizing that Kosovo is more determined than ever to eliminate every criminal and terrorist element in the country.

He added that the law would prevail in all corners of Kosovo. “We’ve been clear for the past four years: the era of impunity and amnesty for criminal gangs is over. The Constitution, the rule of law, and order will function in every part of Kosovo, and no one will stop the freedom and rights of our citizens through fear and terror,” Sveçla continued.

The attack occurred last night, damaging four vehicles.
