Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kosovo, Kreshnik Ahmeti, has announced that Taiwan will be removing its visa requirements for citizens of Kosovo.

Starting from December 1, 2024, Kosovar citizens holding regular, diplomatic, or official passports will be able to travel to Taiwan without the need for a visa.

In his statement, Ahmeti highlighted that this move marks another significant step in strengthening the international standing of Kosovo’s passport. He pointed out that, within this current government mandate, Kosovo has secured visa-free travel to the Schengen Area, the United Arab Emirates, Thailand, Israel, and now Taiwan.

“This new visa-free opportunity with Taiwan opens doors for economic partnerships, educational exchanges, and cultural cooperation between our two societies,” Ahmeti said.

This development is expected to further enhance ties between Kosovo and Taiwan, promoting collaboration in various sectors and offering greater mobility for Kosovars traveling to Taiwan for business, study, or cultural purposes.
