The Kosovo Police announced that on 09.06.2026 it will implement special security measures and traffic management arrangements due to the transit of the motorcade of the President of the Republic of Albania, Bajram Begaj, through Kosovo.
According to the official announcement, the Kosovo Police has engaged relevant police units and undertaken all necessary operational actions to secure the escort and ensure a safe and smooth flow of traffic along the routes where the delegation will travel.
Due to the movement of the motorcade, on 09.06.2026 there will be temporary and short-term traffic interruptions on several road segments from the Vermica border crossing point to Hani i Elezit.
The same measures may also be applied on 11.06.2026 during the return of the motorcade, when traffic may in some cases be redirected to alternative routes.
The Kosovo Police called on citizens and road users to show understanding and cooperation during the implementation of these temporary measures.
