U.S. President Donald Trump has turned the spotlight back on the Russia–Ukraine conflict, urging both sides to end the war and focus on the economic benefits of peace, Rks News reports.
In a statement shared on social media, Trump emphasized that ending the conflict would pave the way for a new era of economic cooperation with the United States.
“I hope Russia and Ukraine make a deal this week. Then both will start doing big business with the prosperous United States of America and earn a lot of money,” he wrote.
Trump stressed that the region’s economic potential can only flourish under conditions of stability and international cooperation.
