The US Embassy in Kosovo has shared photographs from meetings between US Senators Jeanne Shaheen and Dick Durbin and Kosovo’s top leaders during their visit to the country on Monday.
The embassy welcomed the two senators to Kosovo in the afternoon. Accompanied by US Chargé d’Affaires Anu Prattipati Bell, Shaheen and Durbin met with Kosovo President Justina Shiroka Pula and Prime Minister Albin Kurti.
The visit included discussions with Kosovo’s leadership as Washington and Prishtina continue their engagement on bilateral relations and regional security.
Earlier, President Shiroka Pula awarded Senator Shaheen the Presidential Medal of Merit in recognition of her continued support for Kosovo and her contribution to strengthening security, preserving peace and promoting stability in the region.
Shaheen has also advocated for the continuation of the US military presence within NATO’s Kosovo Force (KFOR), which plays a key role in maintaining security in Kosovo.
