Prishtina, September 25, 2026 — Former Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani attended a gala organized by the Albanian-American Relations Council in the United States, where she expressed gratitude to the Albanian diaspora for its contribution to Kosovo.
Osmani also met with Wesley Clark, the former Supreme Allied Commander Europe of NATO, during the event.
In a Facebook post, Osmani described it as a pleasure to speak at the gathering and thank the Albanian-American community for its contribution to Kosovo’s history.
“It was a pleasure to speak at the gala evening organized by the Albanian-American Relations Council and to thank our diaspora in America for its extraordinary contribution to the freedom and independence of Kosovo,” Osmani wrote.
Clark served as NATO’s Supreme Allied Commander Europe from 1997 to 2000 and was the military commander of NATO forces during the 1999 Kosovo War.
Osmani has regularly highlighted the role of Kosovo’s diaspora and international partners in the country’s path toward independence and statehood.
